A new study from the Pennsylvania Courts shows that speeding is the number one reason for a traffic citation.
The study looked at data from 2018 to 2022 and found that there was more than 5.8 million traffic violations issued in PA in the five year span.
Speeding accounted for 21 percent of those violations. 10 percent were for driving an unregistered vehicle and operating without a valid inspection.
The study also found that men received more citations than women by nearly double.
