A heavy police presence in the City of Butler’s East End Wednesday afternoon was as a result of a shooting.
According to the Butler City Police, officers responded to Butler Memorial Hospital shortly after 4 p.m. to speak with a shooting victim.
The 31-year-old Hispanic male was shot once in the face. He was flown to Pittsburgh and is in stable condition. The man was not able to say much but he did direct police to the 300 block of East Pearl Street where they blocked off between Elm and Franklin Streets for hours.
Police do not believe this was a random shooting and also do not believe that there is any ongoing danger to the public. This investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Butler City Police.
