Several Pennsylvania United States House Republicans have called for President Joe Biden to pull the nomination of a judge to the United States Court of Appeals.
Several Republicans, including Congressman Mike Kelly, have called for Biden to withdraw the nomination of Adeel Abdullah Mangi to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit.
The 10 House republicans point to Mangi’s time as Board of Advisors for the Center for Security, Race, and Rights at Rutgers Law School claiming that this organization has “a deep history of amplifying antisemitic speech, terrorist propaganda, and anti-American rhetoric.”
The White House released a statement rejecting the request. If Mangi is confirmed he will be the first Muslim American approved to the federal appeals court for Pennsylvania.
