Pennsylvania families will see an increase to the child care tax credit next year.
After passing in the Legislature last week, Governor Shapiro signed the bill that will see some families triple their maximum state credit increase.
A family making $43,000 or less will see their maximum state credit increase from $315 to $1,050 for one child and to $2,100 for two children.
Those making over $43,000 will see the credit for one child increase from $180 to $600 and to $1,200 for two children.
This expansion allows individuals to claim 100 percent of the federal child care tax credit they claimed.
