Pennsylvania State Senator Doug Mastriano is opting to stay out of a race for United States Senate.
Mastriano said yesterday on his Facebook page that he won’t run for Senate “at this time.”
At the moment, there are no declared Republican candidates in the 2024 race for Senate. The winner of the Republican primary would face current Democratic Senator Bob Casey.
Mastriano previously ran for governor in 2022, where he lost the general election to Josh Shapiro. Mastriano did say he would continue to serve in Harrisburg.
