Butler Health System and Excela Health are continuing to see major financial losses according to their latest reporting.
New numbers were released last week that show the newly combined health care entity losing more than $62 million over the last nine months.
Butler Health System individually lost $33.1 million during that time; Excela Health meanwhile lost $29.3 million.
This is the latest in what has been a difficult couple of years following the pandemic. The newly merged organization recently laid off 13 management level employees and had their rating watch changed to negative earlier this year.
Officials say they are facing “strong financials headwinds” like other healthcare companies.
