The Friends of Saxonburg Museum and South Butler Community Library are celebrating the 140th anniversary of the Brooklyn Bridge, with an early screening of a new documentary about the bridge.
Butler County residents will get an early viewing of a European produced documentary celebrating the “Engineering Masterpiece” of the Brooklyn Bridge. The crew came to Saxonburg in October 2021 to film a portion of the documentary, which is expected to be released in Europe this summer but no announcement on American release.
Admission is free and there will be two showings: Wednesday May 24th at 6:30 p.m. and Thursday May 25th at 1:00 p.m. Guests will have to make reservations to get in, which can be done by calling the library or using online links on the Library’s or the Friends of Saxonburg Museum websites and Facebook pages.
Any donations received will benefit the Roebling Wirerope Workshop Preservation.
