Butler County Community College is celebrating the graduation of their latest class of registered nurses.
A record 74 students graduated with a nursing degree this year—that’s the most in the program’s 50 year history.
BC3 officials say the graduates are entering a workforce that is in desperate need of new nurses—with wages beginning close to $30 an hour in most places.
“We are super-fortunate,” graduate Hailey Metzger, 20, of Butler said. “We can really do anything we want.”
BC3 says general applications for fall 2024 will be accepted starting August 1st.
