The Butler Area School Board will fill a second board opening using the process put in place following a resignation last month.
The resignation of Bill Halle from the Butler Board of School Directors became official with a board vote Monday night. This move follows Regenold Griffin resigning his position on the board last month.
At that time, the board decided to accept letters of interest from anyone who would like to step into that position. So far three applications have been submitted with three additional individuals contacting the district to express interest.
The deadline for submitting a letter for either of these openings is May 18th with a decision expected to be made at the board’s May 22nd meeting. Both terms are set to expire at beginning of this December.
Also at their next meeting, the Butler board is expected to name a replacement for Halle as delegate to the Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV.
