A Butler man is facing charges after he allegedly tried to steal thousands of dollars of clothing from a local store.
State police were called to the Boscov’s in the Clearview Mall Sunday afternoon. Police say the suspect, 40-year-old Mark Degroot, was trying to take off with 19 different items that were worth more than $1,400.
He was taken into custody without incident.
