A crash on Thanksgiving in Butler Township has resulted in charges for a local man.
According to police, 31-year-old Zane Perry of Butler lost control of his vehicle just before 2 p.m. Thursday in the 800 block of Bullcreek Road.
Perry hit a culvert before striking and shearing off a utility pole. He was not injured but was able to flee the scene on foot. He was captured a short time later but the road had to be shut down for nearly four hours to allow crews time to take care of downed wires.
Perry has been charged with violations including driving under a DUI suspended license as well as driving at a safe speed.
