We fall back this weekend as Daylight Saving Time comes to an end.
That means when we hit 2 a.m. on Sunday, clocks will go back to 1 a.m. which is known as Standard Time.
The annual tradition stems back to the early 1900s as a way to conserve energy—especially as World War I began.
There have been efforts to bring an end to Standard Time, including a recent vote this year by the United States Senate. The bill is known as the Sunshine Protection Act, which would keep Daylight Saving Time year-round. The law has not been acted on by the U.S. House.
