A new event happening this Saturday at Butler County Community College will look to raise scholarship funds in honor of two alums that passed away at an early age.
The inaugural Pioneer Pursuit will combine a variety of health-related activities throughout the day—including a 5K, one-mile walk, kids 100 meter dash, and yoga.
The event is being held in memory of two BC3 nursing graduates Sarah Kasunic and Caitlyn Kaufman. Kasunic was killed in a traffic accident in Tennessee back in 2019. Kaufman meanwhile died in a road rage incident near Nashville in 2020.
The event kicks off with registration at 8 a.m.
