Two people were found dead inside an Allegheny County home Monday after a 7-year-old girl went to school and told someone that something was wrong with her parents.
According to our news partners at WPXI-TV, police went to the girl’s McKeesport home and found the bodies of a man and a woman.
Three other children, ages 9 months, 3 and 5, were also living in the home. They did not appear to be injured, but not knowing how long they were without adult supervision, first responders took them to a hospital to be checked out.
Authorities say the couple may have been dead for a day or two. No foul play is suspected and police believe the two died from drug overdoses.
Also on Monday, a 50-year-old man was found dead in an apartment on the same street. Investigators say he died from a suspected heroin overdose.
