The Republican race for Senate is going to a recount.
Acting Secretary of State Leigh Chapman announced Wednesday that the 902 votes separate Dr. Mehmet Oz and Dave McCormick, which is inside .5 percent requiring an automatic recount.
Chapman explains the process.
“Counties may begin their recount as early as this Friday, but must begin no later than June 1st. They must complete the recount by June 7th, and submit the results to the Department of State by noon on June 8th,” Chapman said.
Chapman says that counties must use different machines to recount ballots or count them by hand.
