Butler VA Health Care System is updating their COVID policies after seeing a rise in the number of local cases.
The VA is elevating their COVID Health Protection Levels to the high category, which they say align with CDC community transmission levels.
Masks are still required at the Butler VA along with self-screening, and physical distancing. Visitors must be approved by the care-team.
“Our local Veterans are resolute about receiving their care at our facility and we want to keep them safe during the ups and downs of COVID-19 community spread,” Butler VA Director Sharon Coyle said in a statement. “Instead of increasing or decreasing access to care, safety protocols will be adjusted based on COVID-19 levels in the community.”
Health Protection Levels will be updated as needed every Monday and could be adjusted to medium or low with different requirements.
