It’s currently National Agriculture Week and a local lawmaker is taking to recognize its impact on the state.
Congressman Glenn “GT” Thompson spoke on the House floor earlier this week saying that agriculture and farmers plays an extremely important role in our country.
“Being a farmer has never been an easy job by any means. Feeding and clothing our nation and the entire world is a monumental task,” Thompson said. “Everyday, America’s farm families dedicate their minds and bodies to achieving that feat.”
Thompson represents the 15th District in Pennsylvania; a district he says relies heavily on the agriculture industry.
