Pennsylvania sportsbooks saw a lower total of bets placed last month as football came to a close.
Numbers show online and retail sportsbooks saw less than $600 million wagered during February. Experts say the lower number is expected after the end of the Super Bowl.
In fact, the lower number actually gave Pennsylvania sportsbooks with a loss of $442,000 in taxable revenue.
They said a February lull in bets is expected and is short-lived. It’s expected that March Madness will help get sportsbooks back into or near record territory.
