Butler County Commissioners are taking time to recognize bleeding disorders after a proclamation earlier this week.
They designated March as Bleeding Disorder Awareness Month, which started getting recognition at the federal level in 1986.
Supporting organizations say there are around 30,000 people in the U.S. living with a bleeding disorder. The most common symptoms are bleeding in the joints, prolonged bleeding from cuts, excessive nose bleeds, and bruising.
You are encouraged to wear red during this month in order to help bring awareness.
