Butler County officials took the first steps toward funding projects as part of this year’s Community Development Block Grants.
The federal grant program, also known as CDBG, awards money on an annual basis in order to better communities.
At yesterday’s public meeting, the county approved to seek bids for three different projects: the Harrisville Borough Storm Water Project, renovations to the park restroom in Jefferson Township, and the Marion Township Reservoir Project.
County leaders expected both the Harrisville and Jefferson Township projects to begin this year. The Marion Township Reservoir project’s timeline is a little more fluid; it could possibly begin at the end of this year.
