A local business is one step closer to approval for more outdoor events and activities following a recommendation by the Butler Township Planning Commission.
Earlier this week, the board heard from representatives of Family Bowlaway about plans for continuing to evolve the facility, especially between May and November when not as many customers are engaged in bowling.
This progression of a land development plan would see the addition of restroom facilities as well as the use of temporary structures like large tents and cabanas for seasonal use. Although this area could be in operation until 2 a.m. during the summer months, a township noise ordinance would be enforced at 11 p.m. daily.
Facility owners received a zoning exception in December and will next seek final approval of their plan from Butler Township Commissioners at a meeting later this month.
