The Pennsylvania Game Commission says it was another plentiful year for bear hunters.
Nearly 3,600 bears in total were harvested over the past year—which ranks as the state’s fifth best harvest ever and was slightly ahead of 2020 numbers.
Game Commission officials say 43 bears were harvested here in Butler County this year.
One of the largest bears was snagged in West Franklin Township, Armstrong County at 676 pounds.
