We’re learning more information about an accident earlier this week that sent one man to the hospital.
It happened just after midnight Tuesday on I-79 in Muddy Creek Township. 60-year-old Andrew Smith of New Castle was driving southbound near the Portersville exit when he lost control of his vehicle while going around a curve.
Smith’s car then hit a ditch and flipped over.
He had to be extricated from the vehicle by crews on the scene. Smith was flown to Allegheny General Hospital for undisclosed injuries.
His current condition is unknown.
