An iconic ride at Conneaut Lake Park has been significantly damaged in a fire.
The Blue Streak roller coaster at the amusement park caught on fire after controlled burns got out of hand.
The park was in the process of dismantling the roller coaster and had a few small piles burning the area before windy conditions led to the Blue Streak catching on fire.
The coaster was originally constructed in 1937 and was recently sold to a new company—whose owner has kept the park’s future unclear.
