The National Weather Service says this past December was one of the least snowiest ever on record.
Overall, the Pittsburgh area saw less than an inch of snow last month. Officially, it was recorded at .7.
That’s the least amount of snow we’ve seen since 2015, when Pittsburgh only received .3 total inches.
It comes on the heels of last year’s extraordinarily snowy December, when the area saw over 27 total inches during the month.
