With COVID cases on the rise, many are wondering about the future of in-person learning.
Butler Area School District Superintendent Dr. Brian White wrote to parents over the weekend saying that there is no cut and dry method the district will be using.
He says a full school closure is not the preferred strategy. White instead says you may see more targeted mitigation efforts like moving a class into a larger room.
However, White noted that the biggest hurdle to that strategy is staffing. If too many members of a school’s staff have COVID, White says that may not allow the school to operate as normal.
