A local lawmaker is holding a public hearing later today to discuss a bill that would make sure solar panels and wind turbines are properly decommissioned, reclaimed, and recycled.
State Representative and Pennsylvania House Environmental Resources and Energy Committee Chairman Daryl Metcalfe will lead the hearing in Harrisburg beginning at 9 a.m.
This hearing will include presentations from representatives of various companies, organizations, and associations. House Bill 2104 deals with the long-term options for what can be done with equipment and materials currently devoted to renewable energy sources.
This hearing will be streamed live online through Metcalfe’s website.
