Butler Township’s tax collector will take over the part-time position of Township Treasurer.
At their Monday night meeting, the Township Commissioners voted to approve the appointment of Olivia Wiest to the previously vacant job.
Recent changes to the First Class Township code allow for this position to be held by the person who also collects township taxes.
Beginning September 7th, Wiest will work 8 to 12 hours per week at a rate of $25 per hour being responsible for the intake of all township revenue.
