The first concert of the new Butler County Symphony season is coming up this weekend.
The opening performance of the 68th season is titled ‘Magnificent Russians’ and will take place Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Butler Intermediate High School. Doors open at 6 p.m. for a pre-concert lecture beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Maestro Matthew Kraemer will conduct selections from Rimsky-Korsakov, as well as Rachmaninoff featuring internationally known American pianist Sean Chen.
Tickets for this performance are $23 for an adult and $5.50 for a student. Tickets can be purchased at the Butler County Symphony office or online at butlersymphony.org.
