With Major League Baseball making its return last night, and the NBA and NHL getting ready to play—casinos are hoping to see a big influx of sports gambling.
The return of sports comes as Pennsylvania took in about $89 million in sports bets last month—which was about $235 million shy of a normal June.
Even with sports being essentially shut down since the middle of March, Pennsylvania still brought in $38.7 million in state taxes produced by sports betting this past fiscal year.
