President Donald Trump is calling out Sen. (R-PA) Pat Toomey after his reaction to the President commuting the sentence of Roger Stone.
After Trump campaign adviser Roger Stone had his sentence commuted by the President on Friday, Sen. Toomey said that decision was a mistake; although Toomey did note that the president had the authority to make the decision.
“‘While I understand the frustration with the badly flawed Russia-collusion investigation, in my view, commuting Roger Stone’s sentence is a mistake,’ Toomey said. ‘He was duly convicted of lying to Congress, witness tampering, and obstruction a congressional investigation conducted by a Republican-led committee.’
Toomey also said that Attorney General William Barr earlier in the week called the prosecution of Stone ‘righteous’ and said his prison sentence of three years and four months was ‘fair.’”
Trump offered his reaction Saturday night calling Toomey and fellow Senator Mitt Romney ‘RINOs’ or Republicans In Name Only.
Do RINO’S Pat Toomey & Mitt Romney have any problem with the fact that we caught Obama, Biden, & Company illegally spying on my campaign? Do they care if Comey, McCabe, Page & her lover, Peter S, the whole group, ran rampant, wild & unchecked – lying & leaking all the way? NO!
