There is still time to sign up for an event on Thursday night at a local park about fireflies.
Moraine State Park staff will present a program about lightning bugs from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at Pavilion 7 in the McDanel’s area of the North Shore.
The unique lives of these interesting creatures will be explored and presenters will also discuss how everyone can help scientists by observing fireflies at home.
People of all ages are welcome but preregistration is required by calling the park office due to a maximum of 25 participants permitted as a result of COVID-19 restrictions.
