With the summer and warmer temperatures here, your swimming pool may be getting more use this time of year.
The National Fire Protection Association is reminding people about the potential electrical hazards that come with owning a pool or hot tub, as well as issues with boats and marinas.
The organization is warning of electric shock drowning which happens when electrical systems leak an electric current into the water.
The NFPA says to always check pool lights to make sure they’re working and be sure all wiring is properly installed.
