Members of Pennsylvania’s House of Representative will be meeting this week to respond to concerns about policing and public safety reform.
The House Judiciary Committee is scheduled to begin review of a couple of bills at 8 a.m. Monday that would help to restore trust between police officers and the communities they serve.
House Bill 1841 would require an employer to disclose employment information and provide protection from civil liability for doing so. This would close gaps in knowledge about disciplinary actions against police officer candidates.
House Bill 1910 would require police officers and members of the minor judiciary to receive mandatory training to help recognize early signs of child abuse as well as be fully aware of reporting requirements and resources available.
