The Gateway 228 project is continuing to develop.
Butler County Commissioners approved the use of funds for the $5 vehicle fee to help pay from the major project that will expand the Balls Bend in Middlesex Township.
About $1.3 million will be committed to the project from the $5 fee fund balance—which totals around $1.5 million right now.
The Balls Bend project could begin as early as next year. The estimated cost for the Gateway 228 project is around $60 million.
