Butler County officials offered their support to Children and Youth Services as part of Child Welfare Professionals Appreciation Week.
Commissioner Leslie Osche said the work CYS has done during this health crisis has been amazing.
“There is no doubt that the dedication to the children in the community is certainly there,” Osche said.
Butler County CYS Director Charlie Johns says that during this pandemic, it’s important for people to be aware of possible abuse situations.
“It’s no secret that children have been home for weeks at this point. I would just recommend as neighbors, to care for one another,” Johns said. “If you feel child abuse and neglect is occurring in a home, please call Child Line 1-800-932-0313 and report.”
Johns said you can also call Butler County CYS if you have questions about reporting abuse.
