Less than a day after his wife plead guilty to defrauding Butler Health System, a former Butler County Detective has also reached an agreement with federal prosecutors.
Scott Roskovski officially changed his plea to guilty this morning to charges of making false statements to a bank and filing false tax returns.
Scott and his wife Stephanie were both charged in April 2019 with crimes stemming from a years-long scheme to defraud Butler Health System.
U.S. prosecutors said they had evidence that the couple took anywhere from $550,000 to $1.5 million from the hospital where Stephanie served as chief operating officer from 2011 to 2017.
According to the plea deal, Scott Roskovski is facing up to two-and-a-half years in prison and must pay full restitution to BHS. Stephanie faces up to four years in prison and must also pay restitution to the hospital.
Their sentencing hearing will be held in early October.
