The Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank will once again be distributing food at the Big Butler Fairgrounds on Tuesday.
The drive-up distribution runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Organizers say they plan to serve 1,000 vehicles with at least 50 pounds of food per vehicle. No walk-ups will be permitted. No one should arrive to line up earlier than 10 a.m. and those that do will be told to come back then.
Everyone attending this distribution must remain in their vehicles at all times. Volunteers will load vehicles. The distribution will end exactly at 1 p.m. and drive-up service will be discontinued.
This event is being organized in conjunction with Alliance for Nonprofit Resources, the Friends of the Bantam Jeep Association, and the Butler County Sheriff’s office.
All traffic will enter via Unionville Rd and exit westbound onto Route 422. Those in need of food assistance without a vehicle should visit the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank website.
