A local motorist was injured in a one car crash that occurred earlier this weekend in Summit Township.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police, a 22-year-old Butler man lost control of his vehicle on Portman Road near Bonniebrook Road just before 10:30am Saturday.
Authorities say that the vehicle struck a tree stump before rolling onto its roof and into a stone water well. A passenger was able to exit the vehicle, while the driver was extracted by emergency crews.
Officials say that the driver was later transported to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment of unknown injuries.
