Even though libraries in Butler County remain closed until further notice for the safety of the community and staff, Butler Area Public Library is still offering activities and resources to local residents.
Mondays during the month of May, library employees will provide weekly Employment Resource videos at 9 a.m. to the library’s Facebook and Youtube pages. This week’s topic is job searching.
Tuesdays in May beginning at 1 p.m. the library is offering families of preschool and elementary kids weekly Family STEM lesson programs live on Zoom. This week’s program focuses on bird nests. These will be recorded and posted to the Library’s Youtube page.
Toddler Storytime is planned for every Tuesday and Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Preschool Storytime will take place every Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Every weekday at noon a librarian will read a portion of a chapter book aloud. All videos will be posted to the library’s Facebook page.
Every Friday in May is a Family History Friday at 1:30 p.m. when the Library will share a new genealogy help video on Facebook. These videos will also be posted to the Library’s Youtube channel.
Those with library cards can still access hundreds of free online resources at any time including e-books, e-magazines, downloadable videos, music, audiobooks, and databases.
