Gas prices in western Pennsylvania have declined even further both regionally and locally over the last week.
According to AAA’s weekly gas price report, the average price for a gallon of regular, unleaded, self-serve in Butler, as of Monday, is $2.00 per gallon which is six cents cheaper compared to last week.
Prices dropped by four cents across western Pennsylvania as a whole this week, averaging $2.08 per gallon. The cheapest gas in the area can be found in New Castle at $1.76 per gallon, while the most expensive is $2.23 in Beaver.
The average national gas price dropped by another four cents to $1.77 which is 28 cents cheaper per gallon than it was last month. AAA expects fluctuations at the pump in the coming weeks if demand jumps as businesses are permitted to begin reopening.
