A local youth soccer group is asking for the public’s help after their fields were damaged over the weekend.
The Propsect Soccer Club says a vehicle drove through multiple soccer fields on Country Club Road at some point this weekend.
Shane Galino is the president of the youth organization and spoke to our newsroom about the damage.
“I guess the good news is, that with some hard work, I think the fields can be repaired,” Galino said. “The bad news, they were all over the field. So the field itself is rather damaged at this point. It looks like the people who did it, decided to do donuts on the field and it formed ruts.”
Galino says the youth league has about 80 kids participate, but is currently on hold due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
If anyone has information, Galino asks that you contact police.
