According to the latest update from state health officials, there are now over 18,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Pennsylvania.
There were positive signs though—especially for Butler County. No new cases were reported, with the number of positive cases remaining at 113.
However, officials at Butler Health System say that testing results are taking longer than before—with some wait times taking a week or longer. Butler Health System has performed over 1,700 tests and officials say that the resulting time is significantly increasing due to a large number of tests going to commercial labs.
According to the latest information from Butler Memorial Hospital—as of Wednesday morning, they are treating 11 patients for COVID-19 symptoms, with three patients in the intensive care unit.
