Due to the ongoing public health crisis, the state of Pennsylvania is granting extensions for expiring licenses to carry firearms.
According to Sheriff Mike Slupe, licenses that expire on or after March 19th have been extended to remain valid through May 30th.
License holders that fall into that category should not come in to renew until at least May 30th.
Licenses which expired before March 19th will be processed along with new applications being accepted in the Government Center lobby Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
