The Butler Health System has made an announcement regarding procedures at several local facilities.
Effective Sunday morning, procedures scheduled for the next two weeks are being evaluated with the performing physicians. These evaluations will determine if the procedures are non-emergent and could potentially be postponed.
Procedures scheduled at Butler Memorial Hospital, Clarion Hospital, and The Surgery Center at Benbrook are subject to these decisions. According to Butler Health System, this process is based on a recommendation from the United States Surgeon General.
If a procedure is postponed, the patient will be contacted prior to the date of the scheduled procedure.
Butler Health System will continue to monitor the developments surrounding the impact of COVID-19 and will post additional updates on their website.
