Two local women are being honored for their work in the community.
Sharon Schneider and Amy Hammonds were recognized as Women of Legacy by the Butler Health System Foundation at their annual Crystal Ball Saturday.
Schneider was lauded for her work with the Hang Tough program which offers stockings to cancer patients in Butler and surrounding counties. In 2019, the Hang Tough program delivered over 2,300 stockings.
Meanwhile Hammonds received honors for her healthcare career working in mental health.
