More information has been released regarding a one car crash that occurred last week in Portersville.
According to the State Police in Butler, a 19-year-old Ellwood City man was traveling on Route 488 just before 9am Wednesday (March 4th) when he lost control of his car.
Authorities say that the car then struck the pole, shearing it in half. Police say that the driver side door of the vehicle was also ripped off.
Officials say that the driver was then ejected from the door opening, and suffered serious injuries. He was flown to UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh for treatment.
It is unknown if any charges will be filed.
