A group of local students took a chilly dip last weekend to raise money for a great cause.
More than 60 members of the Mars Area High School’s Interact Club and Key Club along with two club advisors jumped into a pool of icy water last Friday at Heinz Field as part of the annual Pittsburgh Polar Plunge.
The group was able to collect over $2,200 to benefit Special Olympics Pennsylvania through this activity.
The Pittsburgh Polar Plunge is sponsored by Pittsburgh Cool Schools Challenge and the Pennsylvania State Police.
