A project to extend a sidewalk in Slippery Rock has received approval from the county.
The commissioners approved a $72,000 bid for the construction of a sidewalk along North Main Street that will connect the current sidewalk to the Slippery Rock Community Library.
A majority of the money will come from Community Development Block Grant program sponsored by the state.
No official timeline was placed on the project—although work is expected to begin soon.
