High School Sports from Wednesday:
Girls Soccer:
North Allegheny defeated Butler 3-2 in double overtime. It was the second-consecutive game of 2OT’s for the Golden Tornado. Butler trailed 2-1 at halftime, but Liz Simms evened the game. N.A. would score three minutes into the second overtime. Butler will host Seneca Valley Monday at the Intermediate high school. (7:30pm.)

Boys Golf:
Jack Kramer of Pine-Richland led the WPIAL Section-3 Sectional at Treesdale Wednesday with a 71. Nic Leone of Butler tied for fifth with a 75 along with Paul Lopiccolo of Seneca Valley. The golfers advance to the WPIAL semi-finals. Seneca Valley’s Zach Brown and Adam Bushee, along with Butler’s Gabe Terwilliger also qualified.
In the Girls Sectional at Rittswood: Lauren Freyvogel of Pine-Richland led with a 71. Natalie Welsh of Mars was second with a 76. They advance to the WPIAL semi-finals along with Hannah Folk and Maggie Feczko of Butler and Kennedy Johnston of Seneca Valley.
Girls Tennis:
Butler defeated Seneca Valley 3-2.
